THEODORE ST. CLAIR WILL, JR.

Savannah, Georgia- Theodore St. Clair Will, Jr., 91, died July 27, 2009. He was born August 20, 1917 in Ellicott City, Maryland, son of the Reverend Theodore S. Will and Eleanor Hardinge Will.

Mr. Will attended Episcopal High School, Alexandria, VA., Maryland Art Institute, Baltimore, MD., and served as a pilot in the United States Air Forces during World War II. Following the war, he worked in the newspaper field with the Atlanta Constitution before joining and retiring from Tucker-Wayne Advertising Company. Ted was a member of the Piedmont Driving Club and All Saints Episcopal Church in Atlanta where his father had served as rector.

He had a great talent for painting and often painted needlepoint canvases for his first wife. His water colors of the North Carolina Mountains won numerous awards in local art exhibits. Ted's sense of humor and practical jokes will always be remembered with joy. He was a true Southern Gentlemen.

Ted was preceded in death by his first wife, George Dargan Will and their two children, Theodore St. Clair Will, III and Ann Lee Yamaguchi. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Elisabeth Neuweiler Will and her two sons, Gilmer and Alexander MacDougald. He was also preceded in death by his sister Eleanor Kuser.

He is survived by his sister, Tina W. Norris and husband Jack of Savannah; children, Jesse Bass of Augusta, GA. and Sarah Buchley and husband Peter of Atlanta, GA.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Katie Yamaguchi and Peter Krovina both of Tukwila, WA., Levin MacDougald of Athens, GA., Ian MacDougald of Woodstock, GA and their mother, Elaine Rafter of Princess Ann, MD, Stratton MacDougald of Young Harris, GA, Sarah Versaggi and husband John of Alexandria, VA., Elizabeth Burton and husband Neil of Holly Springs, MS., and William Buchley and wife Lauren of Atlanta, GA.; his great grandchildren, Christopher Jayden of Tukwila, WA., Reeves and William Versaggi of Alexandria, VA.

Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 6, 2009 in the chapel of All Saints Episcopal Church, 634 West Peachtree St. NW. Atlanta GA. Reception to follow in the library.
